I like to trim the directory location to 3 levels and I also need the
spelling correction prompt. The left prompt is more minimal, only indicating
the short hostname. This prompt makes use of whatever you have set your
bold color environment variable to. For xterms, I like to use this in the
$HOME/.Xresources:
